Midway Partners Capital Management is the investment manager to a long-only, investment fund founded by Jordan Lampos in 2021. The fund’s mission is to provide investment returns greater than a broad market index net of fees and expenses by purchasing public equity securities at prices below conservative estimates of intrinsic value. The fund is concentrated, opportunistic (size and industry agnostic), and liquid. The fund may hold fixed income securities, derivatives, or cash to manage risk. The fund is available to qualified clients only.

Investment Process

Midway Partners’ Quality Criteria supports a repeatable and efficient investment process by quickly filtering out undesirable investments. Once opportunities are filtered through the Quality Criteria, a conservative intrinsic value estimate is completed. Investment decisions are made by selecting investments selling at or below our conservative estimates of intrinsic value.

We hold concentrated portfolios of no more than 15 securities at a time and are likely to have five to seven core positions that make up the majority of the fund’s capital.

Once an investment is made, the goal is to hold the investment as long as possible to maximize compounding while ignoring short-term price volatility. Securities may be sold if greater opportunities are identified. During the holding period, it is important to prepare for short-term price movements in either direction. The fund may hold cash and short term equivalents (U.S. treasuries) for optionality, hedging, and to take advantage of attractive future price opportunities.

We offer separately managed accounts that mirror the fund’s strategy and investments to select investors.
